Brendan began his guiding career with NOLS in 2001, teaching mountaineering, rock climbing, backpacking, and backcountry skiing. Based in Jackson, Wyoming, he continues to follow his passion for guiding, working as a climbing guide and backcountry splitboard guide with Exum Mountain Guides and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Alpine Guides. Brendan is one of America’s first certified splitboard guides and helped develop the technical splitboard mountaineering curriculum for the American Mountain Guide Association and Exum Mountain Guides. He is an avalanche educator and has extensive experience with heli and snowcat guiding as well as winter and glacier camping. Brendan worked with the Denali Rescue Rangers as a volunteer ranger and continues to work in Alaska regularly to help run Pulseline’s Alaska Backcountry Touring Camps. He devotes his free time to playing in the mountains with his awesome family and friends.
