Mike Trombetta
Mike first experienced Valdez Alaska with a group of friends in 2003 spending about a month in the range as a snowboarder and snowmachiner. Instantly hooked, he returned the next 5 years in a row and did the same each season.
He was hired by Theo Meiners as an Apprentice Guide with Alaska Rendezvous in 2009 and was there until their closing in 2021 having worked his way up to Lead Guide over the 13 seasons.
Mike joined Pulseline in 2023, happy to be part of strong team. He went back to his roots and is mostly a skier these days, but is always looking for a group of snowboarders to get out with so he can stand sideways again.
When not in Alaska he is a full time ski patrolman at Sugar Bowl Resort in Norden, CA, and an Avalanche Dog Handler to his black lab Graupel. Mike’s training includes WFR and OEC, AAI Level III Avalanche Certificate and he is an AIARE instructor.
Mike says a huge thank you are due to his wife Jen and daughter Fia and big dog Dags for their love and support.
